Many libraries and bookstores organize books by genres. This year in the Learning Commons, Timberline students will explore different literary genres in order to help them locate books in the library, try a wide variety of books, and discover what kind of books they enjoy to deepen their love of reading.

Mrs. Roderick is a proud Timberline Tiger, graduating with the class of 2000. After Timberline, her education took her to Colleyville Heritage High School, Texas Christian University, and finally Texas Women's University. 

Mrs. Roderick was a teacher for six years, first teaching music and band, and then 4th and 5th grade math and science. She has been a librarian at Timberline since January 2020. She is so happy to be back home with her Tigers again.

Mrs. Roderick's favorite books are The Lord of the Rings, Pride and Prejudice, and Harry Potter, though she will happily geek out with you about Pokemon, Animal Crossing, or Marvel superheroes. In her free time she likes to read and play with her kids.
