New Year, New Challenge!

This school year GCISD Reads will be broken up into 4 smaller challenges. This way students who read faster or slower can participate at their own speed, and new students moving in will not be too behind to participate. There will be a new challenge in each 9-week grading period. Also be on the lookout for just for fun bonus challenges for fun prizes!

K-2 Grade Challenge: Read 25 books
3-5 Grade Challenge: Read 6 chapter books or non-fiction books
Teacher/Parent challenge: Read 6 chapter books

Families are encouraged to track their reading together at home to reinforce school learning and to build family relationships. However, some classes may also keep GCISD Reads trackers at school. Kids who win at home AND at school will be celebrated for every completed reading sheet!
