Heart Hero Jordyn

Heart Hero - Jordyn

When Jordyn was 15 months old, she had a 106 fever that wouldn't break so she was taken to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth. They ran numerous tests on her but the last test they ran was an echocardiogram which is when they discovered her heart defect. Jordyn stayed in the hospital a whole month before her 8 and 1/2 hour heart surgery. Jordyn has a Coronary Artery Anomaly Repair. Jordyn's coronary arteries were connected to the pulmonary artery, which supplies blood flow to the lungs, when they are supposed to be connected to the aorta. Her whole left side of her heart wasn't receiving any blood flow. Jordyn's mom credits the work of the amazing surgeon for saving her life. Jordyn bounced back two days after her heart surgery and has been doing great ever since!
